An 18-17-4 season is not what anybody wanted at this point. But, on the bright side, at least we are above .500 and Irish Times now has Labatt Blue LIGHT! Still value priced at $3.50 during all Sabres games. The Labatt Blue Light Refreshment Duo recommend that you drink many Blue Lights to will the Sabres to victory in the second half of the season.

The Sabres only have 2 home games in January, and they have a 7 game road trip (ouch) But Myers and Ennis will be back soon.

The Sabres are in first place in the NE and tied for the most wins in the league....and Ryan Miller has more losses than wins. It has been a bit of a crazy start, but there has been a lot of great games so for (thank you Enroth.) Come join us at the Times to watch the Sabres get revenge on the hated B's this Wednesday. It was a great first week of the season, our boys in blue & gold now stand at 5-0-1, just ahead of our neighbors to the north, the (unfortunately) relevant Leafs.

Start your beards everyone!!! The Sabres are back in the playoffs. Game one is Thursday at 7PM vs. the Bruins (same time as the Caps..I know.) Come by and make fun of the caps fan(s) and their red t-shirts and general lack of hockey knowledge.

I guess it is good luck. Our boys in Blue and Gold are really the class of the Northeast this year. They now have a monster 10 point lead on the Bruins (not that anyone in Boston has realized the season has started.) They have been especially hot as of late, getting points in the last 11 games.
Thanks to all the Stampeders for coming out to the Times for the games, a little snow and cold weather never stopped us before. Also, thanks to all who made it to the Sabres Road Crew party, we raised more than $4000 for the Sabres foundation and had a great showing of support for the Coaching staff.

Sabres Road Crew Party 1 Week Away

The Sabres had really been tearing it up latley, taking down Washington, Chicago, New York, and Montreal in the past 6 days. They are at Ottowa on Wednesday@ 7:30, then Toronto and Pittsburgh at home on Friday and Saturday. Miller sure is looking like Vezina material, and he's gonna get tested on Sarueday. Lets hope Ruff sits him against the Leafs, so he is fresh for Sid the Kid. See you at the Irish Times for all the games.

I hope everybody has their tickets. I love when the upper section of the Verizon Center turns into mini-HSBC, and the "Lets Go Caps" chants (and their silly trumpet player) are drowned out by 10,000 Sabres fans screaming "Lets Go Buffalo!"

Official Sabres Stampeders Pre-game will be at the Irish Times before the game for some $5 Wings ans $3 Blue's.

I will also be attending the Sabres game in Philly on Friday, and at home in Buffalo on Saturday vs. the hated Caniacs, (then the Bills on Sunday) So...if I survive the trip, I'll see you all next week on Wednesday.

Week 5 Update

Great games last Wednesday and Friday...and an ugly beat down by the Islanders on Saturday night. We wont have to wait long for our revenge, the Islanders now have to play at HSBC in front of actual live fans, and against fresh and pissed off (I hope) Ryan Miller on Wednesday night. Sabres are still rocking a great record 8-2-1, and they have a tough weekend of Philly and Boston coming up. See you at the Times for all of the action.

Week 4 Update

Thanks again for all who are coming out to the Irish Times for last weeks Sabres games. Both the games were pretty amazing; the Panthers was a 1st period beat down, and against the Bolts, our guys didn't really show up until Miller got pulled in the 3rd. You gotta love Lindy putting BEAST rookie Tyler Myers in for the shootout, that guy has to be the front runner for the Calder Trophy.

This week the Sabres travel to the Dirty Jers on Wednesday to take on the Devils (7PM), then head home to embarrass the Leafs on Friday (7:30PM), then off to Strong Island to destroy the Islanders (7PM.)

All games will be on at least 1 TV at the bar, don't forget to ask for the Sabres game-time specials.

Week 3 Update

Thank you all again for coming in to Irish Times for last weeks Sabres games, it is great to see so many Sabres jerseys at the bar.

On to week 3, Looks like we are going to miss Vanek for a few weeks, but on the bright side it looks as if Tyler Myers is the real thing (1-3-4, plus-5 in 6 games) and TSN has us ranked 6th in their power rankings.

Games this week are @ Florida on Wednesday (7:30 PM) and @ Tampa Bay on Saturday (7:30 PM)

The undefeated season continued throughout the weekend. The Sabres are now 2-0-1. Thanks to all the Sabres Stampeders who came by Irish Times to watch the games, we drank them all out of Blues (don’t worry, more is on the way.) This week’s games are all at home, Detroit on Tuesday (7PM), Islanders on Friday (7:30PM) and the Thrashers of Hotlanta on Saturday (7PM)
